Bridal Shop Manager Position Description-

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job Summary
The Bridal and Prom Shop Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team to achieve sales goals. Position is Tuesday through Saturday and during prom season mid Jan through mid April option to work Sundays. To offset that we close on Wednesdays during the summer June through end of Aug so the manager will get 3 days off a week. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage various aspects of bridal and prom operations, including inventory control, employee training, and social media. The ideal candidate will be proactive in fostering a positive work environment and enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers. This is an hourly wage position that also pays tips and commission (pay can be anywhere from $18 to $50 an hour depending on sales).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct bridal appointments with no supervision.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular audits.
  • Lead and train staff in customer service excellence, bridal sales techniques, and store policies.
  • Conduct employee orientation and ongoing training programs to develop team skills.
  • Supervise staff scheduling and shift management to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Required travel to Chicago Bridal Market and or Atlanta/CA Prom, bridal shows.
  • Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the shop team.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and manage cash handling processes effectively.
  • Foster a positive team environment through strong leadership and communication.

Skills

  • Strong background working either as a bridal shop manager or other retail management.
  • Social Media content management is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
  • Expertise in inventory management, control, stocking, and retail math.
  • Proven track record in retail sales management with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities through time management.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and administrative tasks.
  • Solid understanding of cashiering processes along with experience in wireless sales is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with leadership capabilities to drive team performance. This role is essential for maintaining the operational success of the shop while ensuring that both customers and employees have a rewarding experience.
